BadgerLink includes a wide variety of online databases brought to you for free by the state of Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction.

Foundations in Wisconsin [in-library use only]

Marquette University’s Raynor Library annually publishes Foundations in Wisconsin: A Directory. It is the only directory of its kind which covers every active grant making foundation in the state of Wisconsin. The foundation profiles include contact information, total assets, grants paid, and areas of interest. It is available in both print and online formats.

With over 1.2 billion records in over 3,000 databases, this is a comprehensive online source of information available for conducting genealogical and local history research. (Note: There may be occasions when this resource is temporarily unavailable due to a limit of four simultaneous connections within the Wisconsin Valley Library Service.)

Wisconsin Newspapers Digital Research Site

Provides access to daily and weekly newspapers in Wisconsin, starting in 2005 to the present, with an embargo delay of 90 days. Each newspaper addition is available cover to cover in a searchable PDF. This service is not available through IP address authentication like other BadgerLink resources but is available in libraries or by logging in with your library card.
