Story Hour’s Science Project

This week's Story Hour session involved Science! After reading the books The Carrot Seed and Your Healthy Plate : Vegetables we examined a teeny, tiny carrot seed close up and the outside/inside of a raw carrot. We also planted our very own carrot seed to take home!

During our National Library Week celebration last month, Jill Krueger and Gail Spaniol, planted a Community Pizza Garden with the help of 30+ kids. The Library is taking good care of the plants, showing them lots of love, and making sure they have lots of sunshine. Soon we'll be able to move them outside!

European Vacation!

Wednesday, April 17^th at 6:00 p.m. join Bram Faledas, a junior at Crandon High School, as he presents a slideshow presentation of the whirlwind trip that he, his father Tim and his brother Julian took last summer as members of the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music program. The three toured Europe for sixteen days spending time in England, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Library to host Business After 5

On Tuesday, April 16th at 5:01 p.m. the Crandon Public Library will be hosting Business after Five for local business owners and Forest County Chamber of commerce members. This is an excellent opportunity to network with other business owners and to discover what materials and resources the public library can offer to the business community.

“Learning the Future from Our Children” Author to Visit

On Monday, April 15^th at 6:00 p.m. join us for a discussion with RJohn Medenwalt author of the book titled “Learning the Future from our Children : Staying Engaged Using an Open Mind”. RJohn Medenwalt, a local author who has recently spent time at the Crandon Public Library researching and writing his next book, will be discussing the importance of reading in this world of electronic media.

Picture Perfect Valentines Day Program @ your Library

Kids ages 7-11 are invited to join us after school on Monday, February 13th for a Valentine’s Craft project that is “Picture Perfect”. Participants will be creating a valentine’s day photo cube. (Please bring a photo of yourself and/or your valentine to complete this art project). Space is limited, so please call us to register at 478-3784.
