Crandon Public Library’s newest database, the Local History Obituary Index is now available online at www.crandonpl.org under the Genealogy Resources link. The index includes the name of the deceased, the newspaper, page number and date of the published obituary. This is an ongoing project of local volunteer Wayne Coleman and the Crandon Public Library. The years covered (as of 01.18.2010) are 1909-1923, 2001-2003 and 2005- to recent issues. There are already almost 1,700 entries in the database.
